Healing Doesn’t Happen Alone
Creating Space for Real Healing to Take Root
Supporting Healing Heroes with Horses retreats through trauma-informed education and equine-assisted healing
Healing after trauma, prolonged stress, and burnout doesn’t come from willpower alone. It happens when people are given safe space, steady guidance, and tools that make sense in real life.
At Elizabeth Inspires, that belief has shaped everything we teach. Today, it’s being lived out through a partnership with Cactus Rose Equine Foundation and their Healing Heroes with Horses retreats—where trauma-informed resilience education and equine-assisted healing come together to support veterans, first responders, law enforcement and trauma-affected individuals in restoring stability, perspective, and hope.
This page exists to invite you into that work.
A Partnership Rooted in Real Impact
What follows is what healing looks like when the right environment, the right support, and the right people come together.
Trauma-informed resilience strategies taught as part of the Healing Heroes with Horses retreat experience.
In 2025, I had the honor of serving as a trauma-informed workshop partner at two Healing Heroes with Horses retreats hosted by Cactus Rose Equine Foundation. During these sessions, I taught practical resilience strategies and shared real-world examples drawn from my own healing journey, demonstrating how these tools can be applied after trauma to restore emotional stability, clarity, and hope—complementing the powerful, experiential healing work with horses.
To date, 12 individuals have been served through the first two retreats.
One participant shared words that continue to anchor this work:
“You give me hope. I want to believe—but I don’t know how.”
That moment captures exactly why this partnership exists.
How This Partnership Works
Elizabeth Inspires partners with Cactus Rose Equine Foundation by providing trauma-informed resilience education as part of the Healing Heroes with Horses retreat experience.
These workshops are intentionally designed to:
- Support emotional regulation after prolonged stress
- Normalize trauma responses without shame
- Restore confidence, clarity, and inner stability
- Complement equine-assisted healing with practical, real-world tools
This collaboration has grown into an ongoing partnership, with retreats currently held quarterly—and a shared vision to expand to more frequent offerings as funding allows.
